A native Texan, Craig was born in 1964 and raised in Denton. He holds a Bachelors in Fine Art degree from the University of North Texas in Graphic Arts. Art in general led him to do more work in watercolor and photography. One of Craig's professors was internationally renowned watercolor artist Rob Erdle. Rob's passion for watercolor and it's ability to capture imagery and emotion left a mark with Craig. Craig often uses photography to capture moments in time to be used as the theme of a watercolor, but also photography in itself is art. While inspired by many photographers, professor Brent Phelps helped to create a lifelong interest in photography. Both Craig's watercolor paintings and photography are in private collections in the United States and internationally. As an avid SCUBA diver from age 16 to becoming a PADI Master Diver Trainer, Craig has spent much of his time on the Gulf Coasts of Texas, Florida, and throughout the Caribbean. Today Craig spends much of his time between his home in Texas and his home in Grand Cayman painting and capturing the landscape on "film".
